Home About
I've been an avid crafter since my grandmother
taught me to knit as a small child. I moved on
to crochet, cross-stich,and embroidery as a
teenager but my interest in these needle arts
pales in comparison to my obsession for off-loom
beadweaving. I blame it all on my sister-in-law -
she showed me a glorious issue of Bead and Button
magazine and generously loaned me her tools and
bead stash while she was relocating her household.
That did it - I was hooked! Over the years I've
progressed from simple stringing and weaving to
more complicated techniques. I've enjoyed the
challenges and finally feel I have the vocabulary
and confidence to begin creating my own designs.
Stef and I have been good friends for many years now. We
met when our children were taking the same karate class.
It took a while but I fear I've now infected her with the
beading bug too! Stef focuses more on wire wrapping,
knotting, and stringing than off-loom weaving.
